This note describes what the Loupe Plugin does on your network. It is not a separate agreement: Loupe is covered by the ChromaChecker End-User License Agreement (the "EULA"). It is published because one of its features opens a network port on the workstation, and an IT department is entitled to know that without reading source code.
1. What this Plugin does
Loupe is print quality control by image analysis, inside CC Capture: screen ruling and angle by FFT, task-code documentation, white and black field correction, image statistics. The analysis runs on the workstation. Images come from a file, a connected camera, or — the subject of this note — a phone.
2. Phone Link opens a listening port
To let an operator photograph a sheet with a phone and have the image appear in CC Capture, Loupe runs a small web server on the workstation:

0.0.0.0 means every device on the same network can reach that port, not only the operator's phone. That is what makes the feature work without pairing software, and it is the reason this note exists. On a plant network shared with machines you do not control, treat it the way you would treat any other listening service: keep Phone Link closed when it is not in use, and if your network policy requires it, block the port at the workstation firewall — the rest of Loupe is unaffected.
3. What leaves the workstation
Nothing, other than the page Phone Link serves to the phone that asks for it. Loupe sends no images, measurements or analysis to ChromaChecker or to any third party. Photographs received from a phone are held on the workstation.
4. No third-party processors
Loupe uses no external service. Its dependencies are numerical libraries that run locally.

This document is versioned. A new version replaces this text at the same address, and the version you accepted is recorded by the application. Every earlier version is kept in the revision history below, so the text your Organisation agreed to can always be produced.
