RustDesk — Plugin Terms

These Plugin Terms supplement the ChromaChecker End-User License Agreement (the "EULA") and apply only if you install or use the RustDesk Plugin. Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the EULA. In the event of conflict, these Plugin Terms prevail for matters specific to this Plugin; the EULA governs everything else (EULA §2.4).

Acceptance. These Plugin Terms are accepted by an administrator of your Organisation, not by individual operators, because using this Plugin means allowing someone outside your Organisation to see a workstation screen.

1. What this Plugin does

The RustDesk Plugin lets an operator share the workstation's screen with the ChromaChecker support team so a problem can be looked at rather than described. It runs the RustDesk remote-desktop program as a separate process and shows the operator its connection ID and one-time password.

2. A session only happens when the operator starts it

There is no unattended access. The Plugin does not run in the background, does not accept incoming connections on its own, and cannot be started remotely. A session requires an operator to open the Plugin, start sharing, and give the ID and password to the support engineer — every one of those steps is a deliberate act at the keyboard.

While a session is running, the support engineer sees what is on the shared screen, which may include anything else open on that workstation. Close what should not be seen before starting, and stop the session when the work is finished. The Plugin's Stop control ends it immediately, as does closing CC Capture.

3. Where the connection goes

Sessions run through a RustDesk server operated by ChromaChecker, not through the public RustDesk network. Screen contents and input pass through that server for the duration of the session. ChromaChecker does not record sessions.

4. What is installed

The Plugin installs the RustDesk client on the workstation if it is not already present, and stops it when the Plugin is deactivated. RustDesk is third-party open-source software; its own licence applies to that program.

5. What is stored

Connection IDs and session passwords are generated per session and are not retained by CC Capture. RustDesk keeps its own configuration on the workstation.

Changes to this document

This document is versioned. A new version replaces this text at the same address, and the version you accepted is recorded by the application. Every earlier version is kept in the revision history below, so the text your Organisation agreed to can always be produced.
